About the Event

WAISN operates the only statewide network of rapid response teams in Washington State, supported by a statewide hotline. The rapid response training prepares volunteers for what to do if and when they are dispatched to ICE activity in their area—how to show up safely, document appropriately, support impacted community members, and coordinate within a broader response network.

This training is led by Alex Fayer, who has been involved in rapid response work since 2017–2018 and helped build and train local teams during the first Trump administration. After years of doing this work as a volunteer, Alex was recently hired by WAISN as the Rapid Response Organizer for Western Washington to help strengthen, scale, and formalize rapid response capacity across the region.
